A great place to start exploring electronic resources is eresources@cambridge in which many electronic resources are available, from journal articles, to ebooks, to newspaper online. Specific titles are searchable and resources may also be found through subject areas.
The University Library's ejournals portal, ejournals@cambridge, provides access to a wide range of periodical titles which are available electronically via the web.
Access to the ejournals varies between the different service providers. A full list of how to access the journals of each service provider can be found here. Some are restricted to use on campus within the University of Cambridge or cam domain, but most can also be accessed off campus with a Raven password.
Please visit the ejournals@cambridge help pages for further information.
The ebooks@cambridge project now provides electronic access to nearly two thousand titles, selected from a common list of the most borrowed titles from college libraries. The initiative is currently co-ordinated by the University Library.
All members of the University can access the ebooks. Within the cam domain, no password is needed. There are 2 ways to access ebooks:
This page provides a list of all ebooks providers currently collaborating with Cambridge. There is also a search window for finding a specific title.
The bibliographic records for the full list of ebook titles are in the LibrarySearch databases. Searches can be limited by setting the Location to Electronic Resource. To open the full text of the ebook, click through to the full record and then click on link right at the bottom of the record ("This is available online at the following:") to connect to the ebook.
Off-site, users can access the ebooks using the same methods, but will be prompted for their Raven login and password.
